Yeah. It feels that way. What defines a world war anyway? Is it just when “most” countries become engaged in a major conflict?

Wouldn’t this cause catastrophic domestic problems though. I think the US would tear itself apart trying to go to war with either of those three. Greenland perhaps less-so but still incredibly distasteful.
This is a false dichotomy, as though you can either be productive or learn to march. Obviously you could do both.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but i do find it hard to believe. I think most people that take pride in their jobs won’t half ass it.
If you have n icecream shops in highly sought after retail locations where people are buying food, it would be kinda crazy not to sell food.
I installed a filter under our kitchen sink, with a separate small tap.
10/10 recommend this approach.
Fish fuck in water.
I just re-stated the original “it’s kinda wild” statement which you had misrepresented as some kind of opinion.
Of course i understand people have opinions, but I’m entitled to think people are idiots for having ingredients stupid opinions.
Yeah they were just kinda shuffling along.
I don’t watch archer, so to me it’s just a mean thing to say about China.
It’s kinda wild that you can’t see that America has become the embodiment of everything you dislike about China.
Do you approve or disapprove over making everything extra terrible all the time? 38% Approve || 43% Disapprove || 19% Unsure
I agree for the most part.
I think you’re really describing social media rather than “the internet”. Of course some elements of the internet still enrich our lives.
Social is tricky. As much as I dislike the term I think an “addiction” is probably the most app. I just naturally open up some kind of feed when I need to take five minutes off. It certainly doesn’t enrich my life.
Seriously? I’d rather live in China than eb American in 2025.
Kinda wild you can’t see that.
Actually bees always die after stinging anything.
Edit: I get it people, I’m totally wrong about this - 3 people have already told me.
most people I know
Is that a sample from which you can derive statistically meaningful data ?
Not really. Perhaps people could foresee some dissatisfaction with Trumps presidency, but this article is talking about a longer trajectory, as in building towards all out civil war.
I don’t think that’s a generally held opinion amongst americans.
Yeah.
I can’t remember exactly how it goes here in Australia, but I haven’t carried my ID with me (we don’t have electronic ID yet) for 5 years or so and have never encountered any problems.
I think, if they’re going to fine you (like for speeding or whatever) then you have to identify yourself but not necessarily by providing a physical ID. I think you just give them your name and DoB and they look it up, and match it to your car.
The only other time I can recall being stopped is for a breath / alcohol test. You don’t need any ID if you’re not over the limit.
I don’t recall any other interaction with the police of any kind really.
The US really does seem less “free” than most western countries honestly.
It’s really counter-productive to play armchair air crash investigator.
I think there’s a huge difference between serving in a military controlled by a healthy democracy, and serving in a military controlled by an authoritarian regime.
Several weeks ago you could forgive someone for not realising that Trump is the latter, but not really any more.
